I tried this to see whether I would like a position behind a desk. If you are like me and hands on hard worker then this would be a good option to try especially if you are getting older and the body just doesn’t want to cooperate as much as it used to. I personally found it quite easy to navigate but others found it a little difficult. Some of the course content was not clear, so much so that even the teachers couldn’t understand why it was written the way it was. It has been updated since I have completed it, though. It’s worth the challenge before you commit to the trade certificate. (Certificate III or IV)

Overall the Certificate 2 Workplace Skills TAFE Course (online) was good, however, teachers were not considering to provide breaks in between classes commencing. This had definitely impacted me and some of my fellow students that I had communicated with via MS Teams. Teachers should consider breaks and providing sufficient amount of time instead of 3 minutes. This falls under the WHS policy and procedure to ensure that everybody is safe including you. From my perspective, I would not recommend online TAFE courses at all. It was very tiring and not sociable and too many distractions with people constantly talking in the middle of the class or writing in the chat pod. I would recommend face to face TAFE courses as you can see the teachers and is a good environment and you can move away from your comfort zone, you are meeting new people, interacting with class discussions, communicating and participating in class activities and there is just so much more to it. You will definitely thrive in face to face.
